Not many know that Radha Arora, the affable and dapper India-born president of the luxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, once worked in a hotel laundry room. “You have to get into the trenches, you have to understand what goes on,” he has often said in interviews.
Arora’s three-decade-long career spans stints in luxury hotels such as Savoy in London and the Four Seasons chain, besides Intercontinental. Alumni of Les Roches Global Hospitality Education in Switzerland, Arora joined Rosewood in 2011, as president. Rosewood, today, has 26 properties in 15 countries and plans to add 21 more hotels and resorts in Asia and Europe, an expansion Arora is powering.
Peter J. Bates, President and Founder, Strategic Vision, in conversation with Radha Arora on his wanderlust ways that took him across the world, a career across several big hotels, Rosewood’s discreet luxury, and its ambitious expansion plans.
