Make the most of your long weekend with helicopter charter service, BLADE India, which has launched new routes from Mumbai and Pune to Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa, and from Mumbai to Aamby Valley.
Serenity is just a chopper ride away thanks to BLADE India, which has launched a new helicopter charter service from Mumbai and Pune to Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa at Shillim village. Flights are available any day of the week from BLADE vertiports at Juhu and Pune. Guests availing of the service will also be privy to a 15 per cent discount on their stay at the retreat. Travellers can charter a helicopter from Juhu, in Mumbai, to Aamby Valley on the weekends. The by-the-seat services are scheduled to operate on Friday and Sunday.
The decision to expand BLADE India’s routes came after a successful response to its first by-the-seat chopper flights between Mumbai, Pune and Shirdi. “Bringing down commute times is at the core of urban air mobility. Now customers will have more time to spend at the destinations rather than on the roads,” says Karanpal Singh – Founder, Hunch Ventures and BLADE India.
How it works
First-time customers must register themselves on the BLADE India app or website before being able to book a seat on a flight or a private charter. The helipad address will be revealed after the booking has been confirmed. The experience begins at the BLADE lounge (two in Mumbai and one in Pune), where staff will help you check in and relax before boarding. The company has partnered with Jio Saavan to provide in-flight entertainment. Each flight follows COVID safety and sanitisation measures as mandated by the Government of India and WHO, as well as protocols designed by parent company, FlyBLADE US, in conjunction with their medical advisor, Dr Andrew Bazos. The entire journey lasts a breezy 30 minutes, which by road would be four hours.
Prices for flights to Aamby Valley start at Rs 9,000 plus taxes per seat, or Rs 1.5 lakhs plus taxes per hour. Services to Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa start at Rs 12,000 plus taxes per seat and Rs 1.75 lakhs for a private charter.
